- Online application form, duly completed (IMM 5257)
- Completed Family Information form (IMM 5645), if applicable
- Covering letter stating the purpose of travel
- One recent passport-size photograph (white background)
- Proof of employment
(A) Letter from employer confirming salary and length of employment or employment contract
(B) Letter from employer granting leave
(C) Salary statements for last 6 months
(D) Business license or registration
- Present passport and previous passports in original
- Photocopy of present passport (front and back page)
- Proof of Personal Funds
(A) ITR for 2 years
(B) Bank Statements for 3 months
- For tourists, Detailed itinerary with proof of air travel and accommodation
- For visiting family/friends
(A) Proof of immigration status of inviter (copy of Canadian resident card, passport or work permit
(B) Letter of invitation and/or statutory declaration (affidavit) of support
(C) Financial document of inviter (Notice of assessment, T4, proof of employment or bank statement)
- Two passport size photographs
- If religious worker
(A) Invitation letter from host organization
(B) Relevant educational, training and employment documentation
- For business:
(A) Covering letter on letterhead stating name, designation, duration and purpose of travel
(B) Letter of invitation from Canadian Company/Business
(C) Proof of ongoing business activities such as contracts, shipping orders, invoices etc
