Ubud is an area of rice fields and unspoiled nature located in the island's centre. During the journey, you can already discover Bali's different towns, each one specialising in one of the many typical crafts, with woodwork, stone sculptors, silver goldsmiths or painters. You will begin to notice the essence of Balinese culture, the thousands of temples that dot this island and you will feel the aroma of incense that perfumes all of Bali.
Upon reaching the hotel, check in the room and relax yourself in your cosy room. Have the rest of the day for you.

This morning after having your breakfast, get yourself ready for the local sightseeing of Ubud. In this part of the excursion, we follow the route of the "artists quarter" (Ubud) and its surroundings. Firstly, we will visitthe Monkey Forest. The famous forest for its "mischievous inhabitants." Inside the jungle, you will hike through beautiful, thick tropical vegetation, and as in all monkey jungles in Bali, you may stumble upon roaming bands of mischievous, annoying and intrepid macaques ostensibly guarding the temple. Inthe jungle, there is a temple, Pura Dalem Agung Padangtegal, which is dedicated to the goddess of death.
Later, we set off to reach the Ubud Market, also known as the "Center of the Art Market in Bali." Here, you will find all kinds of art, from traditional to contemporary crafts, souvenirs, slippers, wooden statues, bags, clothes, carpets, paintings, and much more. From Ubud, we continue the route to Tampaksiring, where we will visit the sacred spring Tirta Empul. The bathing area was built in the 10th century, and its waters have healing properties. Many people come from all over Bali to purify themselves in its crystal-clear pools. After Tampaksiring, we continue our march to reach Goa Gajah, the Elephant Cave. Goa Gajah is cited in the 1635 Nagarakertagama lontar (palm leaf manuscript) as a Balinese place called Lwa Gajah (Elephant Water or River), the abode of a Buddhist priest. All around there are fantastic sculpted figures of leaves, animals, waves, and human beings who flee in fear from the mouth. Both Hindu and Buddhist elements have been found on this same site. After an adventurous day start, you will return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will begin your day by visiting the largest temple on the island, the Mother Besakih Temple. You will drive along the coast to Kusamba, a fishing village known for its colourful Prahu outriggers and black sand beaches, and observe traditional salt-making methods.
